Faith Formation Ministries
The mission of the Ministry of Faith Formation Ministries is to provide quality faith formation programs, both spiritually and educationally, to all age groups of St. Louis parishioners. It approves programs, establishes appropriate guidelines, and makes recommendations for effective programs, speakers, resources, program goals, materials, and training of facilitators and teachers. These Ministries assist in the teaching and sharing of our Catholic faith to all through their evangelization efforts.

Adult Education:
Allows for adults to increase their knowledge of their Catholic Faith through interesting courses taught from fall through the spring. Each course is six weeks and is taught by Fr. Craig Smith or Deacon Joe Jacobs. Some of the topics we have covered are:
     -Catholic Moral Theology.
-The Book of Revelation and the Existence of Evil.
     -The Catholic Churches Social Teaching.
     -The Life of Saint Augustine

CCD:
The program is for children and youth who do not attend Catholic school. This is crucial for the introduction to the Catholic faith and support and nurture a sense of belonging to the larger Catholic community. Volunteer teachers, aides and substitutes are recruited by the Religious Education Coordinator and training is given along with support from the parish. This ministry lays the Catholic education foundation for many of our children. Religious education for children is required to receive First Holy Communion.

Rosary
Confirmation:
Baptized Catholic youth who have reached the 9th grade or older are invited to enter into preparation for the receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. This program begins in September and youth meet regularly for sacramental preparation as well as attending a retreat to further discern their Catholic and spiritual connection. Adult volunteers are welcome to participate in various ways by supporting these young people by teaching, assisting with retreat, hospitality or in other organizational ways.

Rosary
RCIA:
The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) prepares adults for receiving the Sacraments and entering fully into the Catholic Church and into our St. Louis family. Teachers are trained and include the Pastor, Deacons, and members of the parish. All members of the parish are welcome to attend and increase the knowledge of their faith and support those journeying towards full communion with the Roman Catholic Church.

Rosary
RCIC:
RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation for Children) is open to all children between the ages of 7-14, whether baptized or not. Children will be preparing to receive the sacraments they have missed since Baptism. These classes also will serve as education for those children who are wishing to join the Catholic Church. Whether your family is just entering the Church, is returning after a time away, have decided as a family to delay the child’s sacramental preparation, or any other circumstance, all are welcome.
